WeighFill Technology - Major Components
FillPro's WeighFill technology is comprised of three major components -
There is also a full line of standard
accessories to adapt to each customer's application.
Each is briefly described.
CONTROLLER:
The FillPro
controller allows the operator, through a simplified operator
interface, to apply highly sophisticated software and controls to the
filling process. The basic operation takes dynamic weight readings
during the fill process and uses them to control the feeder to top off
the fill to exacting tolerances. Every fill is within tolerance, or it
is rejected. Only good fills are passed on to the manufacturing
process.
The controller
provides the ability to adjust feeding parameters, weight sensor
accuracies, and stability factors to the filling process and thereby
handle the broadest range of materials and conditions.

FEEDING MECHANISMS:
Vibratory Feeding
-
Used for
most applications over a broad range from free flowing to moderately
difficult feeding materials
More information on our vibratory feeders
Auger Feeding
-
Used for
difficult, non free flowing materials
More information on
our auger feeders
Volumetric Feeder
-
Used for
applications where speed is most important, and for free flowing
materials.

information on our volumetric feeders
WEIGHT SENSORS:
- FillPro
Electronic balances
– used for applications where the best accuracy and speed are
important. FillPro's technology can get stable weight readings during
the dynamic fill process for the best accuracy at the fastest rates
possible.
- Commercial
Electronic balances – used
for applications where the common availability of brand name sensors is
desired and rate is not as important. The accuracy obtained is
excellent; however, at slower cycle times.
- Load
cells – used for
applications where large capacity and speed are important.
ACCESSORIES:
In addition to the
major components described above, FillPro provides a complete line of
accessories to handle virtually any filling need. A partial list
includes:
- Various size
mass-flow hoppers
- “Superior
Flow” hoppers for difficult materials
- Hopper stirrers
- Adjustable metering devices

Feeder/Hopper mounts
- Patented
“piggy-back” feeders for palletized materials.
- Patented feeders
for non-flowable high friction materials
- Full line of
vibratory feed troughs for broad range of powders/ fill sizes
- Feed
pumps
- Complete line of
pre-weigh and dispense mechanisms for different size fills, and
different powder
- Different
machine frame sizes for large/small and multiple head products
- Modules for
Class I and Class II, explosive hazard applications
- Standard
interface protocol for communication with host PLC's in turnkey
automated systems
- Line of transfer
mechanisms to deliver powder to customer's container.
